Dance Instructor:

At Movement on Main our mission is to empower the next generation with confidence and creativity through the art of dance. We pride ourselves on offering a high caliber of technical instruction while maintaining a fun, nurturing, and structured environment in which our students can thrive.

 

We are continually seeking instructors to further our studio mission and look forward to welcoming additional staff for weekly classes, camps, guest instruction, or substitutes. Applicants must have a strong dance background and be eager to continually invest in progressing their teaching methods.

 

We are currently seeking instructors to teach a variety of ages, styles, and levels. Flexible start date.

 

Potential classes include: ballet, jazz, and/or contemporary for beginner, intermediate or adavanced levels for kindergarten through 12th grade.

 

Instructors must be able to:

  • Share the joy of dance with each and every student by bringing a high level of energy and passion into the classroom.

  • Plan class content in conjunction with the studio’s curriculum.

  • Select appropriate music, to create progressions that reinforce technical foundation.

  • Foster confidence and accountability in all our students, intensive and recreational.

  • Have the ability to demonstrate movement clearly and articulate instructions verbally.

  • Ability to observe and give effective feedback to promote proper execution of movement.

  • Maintain a safe, positive, structured environment in which students can thrive Instructors work closely with staff in many facets of the studio’s operation and must possess good communication and cooperative skills.

 

Instructors are expected to work independently as a classroom leader and participate in the collaborative work that comprises performances, student placement, and program development.

Pre-school for the Arts Instructor: 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Join our team! We are seeking a part-time preschool assistant at Movement on Main Preschool for the Arts. Our Preschool for the Arts is a half-day academic preschool for children ages 3-5 with a focus on the fine arts. In addition to preparing students for Kindergarten, Preschool for the Arts incorporates an introduction into the fine arts through daily “specials” in Dance, Music, and Art. Our curriculum is designed to

be a perfect blend of play-based learning and academic readiness. Therefore, our students start Kindergarten with the skills necessary to be confident and successful in the years to come.


We are currently seeking an instructor for daytime classes for pre-school aged children ages 3-5 between the hours of 9:00am-1:00pm Monday/Wednesday and/or Tuesday/Thursday.


Instructors must be able to:

  • Share the joy of learning with each and every student by bringing a high level of energy and passion into the classroom.

  • Plan class content in conjunction with the studio’s curriculum.

  • Maintain a safe, positive, structured environment in which students can thrive

  • Provide creative and imaginative style of teaching that can reach all children (visual, auditory, and the kinesthetic learner)


Instructors work closely with staff in many facets of the studio’s operation, and must possess good communication and cooperative skills.  Front Desk Assistant: 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our growing studio is seeking to hire an operations and enrollment coordinator to join our leadership team. This role will be in charge of developing and implementing operational policies and procedures, assist with our enrollment process, and help promote a team culture that encourages positive morale and performance.

 

Job Duties 

  • Be a crucial part of our studio growth, build relationships with all clients, and be a major contributor to our clients’ positive experience with Movement on Main. 


  • Front desk management

    • Give warm welcome to every single guest

    •  Answer phones 

    •  Respond to messages promptly 

    • Schedule staff for front desk support

    • Track staff schedule and absences 

  • Have oversight of the class schedule, teacher subbing schedule and what’s happening where in the studios. 

  •  Have insight into client accounts to answer questions

  •  Track and report registrations, drops, transfers, and trials 

  • Manage our trial class system

    • Greet and welcome new students and help them find a class that suits their goals, experience level, and schedule

    • Use our software to manage, plan, and prepare for incoming trials 

    • Project plan to increase enrollments 

  • Manage Class Scheduling 

    • Make sure all schedules and information are entered correctly

    • Enter all new classes into system whenever necessary

  • Collaborate with enrollment coordinators and front desk to ensure that all rosters are correct and up to date 

  • Oversee dancewear and costume ordering 

  • Hire, train and supervise front desk staff 

  • Build relationships with parents and students

  • Planning of staff training and social events 

  • Maintain the physical building: ensure the cleaning schedule happens, take care of utilities, call for maintenance as needed. 


 

Operations Manager Requirements:

 

  • Experience in management, operations, and leadership.

  • Understanding of basic finance and budgeting

  • Ability to build consensus and relationships among employees.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Have a customer first mindset and enjoy engaging with our dance families with excellent service and care.
